I hope that you and M and the elder and younger ones had a few twirls to celebrate being outside and free. I’ve been looking at images of the pandemic 100 years ago. I’m not clever enough to drop them into this comment but let me just say that masks looks very good under very broad-brimmed hats.
Yes, Madrid is an exuberant city and it was happy today: tonight there was a dj on one balcony in our neighborhood, a trombone player on another, and someone playing “Guantanamera” on a third. xxxooo
